Review by Kasey Carollo

Lisa Keegan was and is a best friend of mine who just happened to teach me Spanish for two years at The Governor's Academy. Lisa made me feel like I was one of her own children and I am truly grateful that I met her. Her involvement went so much further than the classroom whether it was taking us students to a Spanish dinner or helping me with homework for her class. She is without question my favorite teacher of all-time and I cannot say enough good things about her. She stands out as a friend/teacher of mine because no matter what kind of student I was that day she always knew how to handle it. If I was particularly tired or just not paying attention she would always sit down with me and ask what was going on. Other teachers have done this before but the real difference is that she actually is interested in helping me. She went out of her way to meet my family and make sure she was involved with what was going in my life past the classroom. Ms. Keegan was a prominent figure throughout the entire school as she was the person who would schedule the big Zumba night of the year. She loved to bring all the students together to bond and what better way to do that than embarrass everyone by having them dance/exercise together. It was always a big hit and a night I looked forward to each year. She is a fantastic role model and someone I hope to stay close with for the rest of my life. I love you Ms. Keegan, you're the best.See MoreRead Less

It is rare that you get a tutor that not only understands the material in depth, but adapts to the students learning style and makes learning more intuitive. Doug is an excellent math tutor that explains difficult concepts in simple ways - which makes learning more fun and engaging. This is a skill. If you have a hard time putting abstract concepts into context, want to learn more effectively, and want to take your skills to the next level - Doug is the person you are looking for.See MoreRead Less

I haven't had the pleasure of working with Betty, but she is my cousin. I know she is a hard working individual. She loves what she does and is damn good at it. I would trust her to find me the perfect home or to sell my home. Put yourself in Betty's hands and you'll never regret it.See MoreRead Less

It's simple, Susan is passionate, informed and informative. I met Susan long ago at a networking event. Truth be told she has never worked on my behalf however her energy and enthusiasm is amazing. What I have not experienced first hand I have heard in spades from others who have and who are delighted with what Susan has done for them.See MoreRead Less

Eric has worked with my son for the past couple school years and we have seen such a big turnaround in both math grades and his self-confidence. Eric is professional, personable, and knows how to relate to younger kids/teenagers and quickly won over my son who was struggling with his grades in math, what a difference! I highly recommend Eric and Higher Ground Tutoring!See MoreRead Less

To whom it may concern:

I had the pleasure of working with Tammy at a residential school with severe behavioral issues and students with physical and mental disabilities. She has a good rapport with her students, they respect her and follow her expectations from day one. She is very organized, and she has a very structured curriculum that she consistently follows each day. She is very patient, and works well with her colleagues. I would recommend her for a tutoring position.See MoreRead Less
