I had the opportunity to first meet Sean, than I began to follow his work. I did support/and enjoy his efforts with his Strength After Sandy book.

I truly believe he has a gift that many of us wish we had. If you took 100 people all the same camera, all take the same picture, line them up - I'll assure you Sean’s picture would stand out over the other 99. He sees things different that many of us, he has a great talent that is just one picture away from capturing his dream!See MoreRead Less"

I know Sean through mutual friends from Penn State. He's an incredibly talented photographer; during Hurricane Sandy I specifically went on his Facebook page to take a look at his breathtaking photos of the events. During that time he had a way of capturing people and the way they felt, scared, overwhelmed, hopeful. I thoroughly enjoy looking at ALL of his work and would hire him for any professional photo shoot I needed!See MoreRead Less"

Sean captured every moment of our charity event & holiday party perfectly! He was able to get our guests to loosen up and feel comfortable for photos in front of our step & repeat while also taking great candid shots throughout the night. Sean is so easy and amazing to work with. Highly recommended!

Sean knows what makes a great photo. I have been on the streets of New York City with him as he snapped photos for Time Out NY magazine and he knows his craft. He looks for interesting subjects and real life moments that can only be captured once. His most recent work is an array of incredible snapshots from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Highly recommended."

I've never head a coffee table book draw as much attention as "Strength after Sandy" by Sean Shapiro. The storm drew many photographers of all ranges out to shoot and I found Sean's ability to capture the moment far better than any other alternatives. He's quickly picked up steam and captured so many great scenes in NYC I can't wait to see what comes next."
