We are a registered community based organization (CBO) dedicated to improving the lives of poor, needy families in the Matopeni slums of Nairobi and surrounding areas. Matopeni lies in the Nairobi Eastlands, 15km from the city centre and is home to over 35,000 residents. Women earn a living by making necklaces, basket-weaving and both men & women work in the nearby quarries. The school centre opened its doors in the year 2005. Under the stewardship of Douglas,Her wife Grace and the Twin Brother Eric who are all teachers, the centre caters for more than 150 children to date. The centre runs a feeding program and gives informal education to vulnerable children.
