About Kristen

Kristen has educated on behalf of the top companies in the industry, such as L'Oreal Professionnel, TIGI and Sassoon. A Detroit native, she became an Ambassador for TIGI in 2000. Working on local hair shows and in-salon events is what truly sparked her passion for the industry. Moving to San Diego in 2003, she's worked behind the chair for the Artistic Director of Paul Mitchell at A Robert Cromeans Salon; deeply enhancing her creative style and technique. And, as the Education Coordinator for L'Oreal Professionnel, orchestrating all education and events in the San Diego area, while mastering the art of haircolor. Her experience and passion for teaching brought her to Bellus Academy at the end of 2007 to launch the Sassoon Connection Cutting Curriculum. Training not only the students, but also the instructors on the ABC's of cutting hair the Sassoon way. Behind the chair, Kristen strives for excellence. "My goal with every client is to meet their desired end result. Taking into consideration the bone structure, skin tone, color, texture and density of the hair before customizing a style to suit the individual". As a National Trainer, Kristen has a true gift for communication and presentation. Keeping her audience engaged, while having incredible attention to detail and inspiring confidence has made her a sought after trainer for salon professionals.
