About Liz May

Liz has composed a beautifully crafted, collection of songs, interwoven with soft haunting vocal melodies and harmonies with piano. Her gentle voice leads you on an uplifting journey, evoking peaceful meditation.

This album celebrates the flow of life, enlightens those seeking calm waters and the simple being as one. The music inspires meaningful experience, always close and ever present. The listener is given a warm gift to remind us that within, resides joy in abundance and that love is forever.

Living near Glastonbury Tor means Liz is influenced by nature and spirituality.

Words are powerful but when married with music, can help to be a potent transitional force, which is cathartic to spiritual awareness, changing moods, inspiring and even influencing a nation. Vibration emanates from music, affecting our bodies and emotions and helping to bring a spiritual viewpoint.

The longest bridge in the world is from the head to the heart. They are physically close but it will be for some, the longest journey ever made. Liz's music comes close to helping bridge this gap, providing food for the soul.

Liz has been writing songs and inspiring piano students for over a decade. She writes her songs from a private studio, set in beautiful Somerset country-side, near Glastonbury Tor.

Usually working alone using the latest digital technology, she composes by compiling the tracks and layering vocal harmonies and instruments.

Liz was classically trained in piano and played violin in an orchestra in her childhood and teens. In 1999, she started writing songs and trained in music technology, songwriting, recording and production.

Whilst training, she formed a band 'Solar Blue' and co-wrote around ten songs with pianist Jezz Plumley, two of which, are on the album.('Dreams' and 'Blue Day')

After finishing the 2 year course, she was asked back as a piano tutor and gained an associates teaching degree and taught at the college for three years. She still teaches privately and continues to successfully help and enthuse students to pass exams and gain awards at local festivals and competitions.

Liz's music speaks directly to the soul. She is an extra-ordinary talent whose ethereal music wraps you in the arms of the Divine and has you soaring upon wings of angels. As you listen it feels like you are resting on a sandy beach somewhere, blissfully watching the clouds as they float on by. Her heart is beautiful and she takes a real interest in the students that are blessed to work with and learn from her.See MoreRead Less"
