As a film director I have worked with many writers over the years developing stories and scripts. Occasionally I've come across a writer who I would consider a rare talent like Betty Dravis. Her ability to expertly control her narrative, create distinctive characters and keep a reader completely enthralled is amazing. I was introduced to Betty when she asked me to read a collection of short stories entitled Six Pack of Blood which she wrote with the equally talented Barbara Watkins. I became an instant a fan and read it in one sitting.
The stories were chilling and original.
I wrote a foreword to the book praising it as terrifying, unique and thoroughly engrossing! I've now become familiar with other works by Betty Dravis and was pleased to find such diversity in her books. Whether it's a family saga, a prophecy about an unborn child, a charming story about toonies invading Silicon Valley or the behind the scenes of interviews with famous celebrities just to mention a few, you know you're in the hands of a master storyteller. The apparent ease and style of Betty's writing makes her work appealing and highly entertaining.
I feel fortunate to have met Betty Dravis through her work and hope that many others, like me will do the same and become lifetime fans.

After reading "Six-Pack of Blood" (that I co-authored with the great Barbara Watkins), I invited the renowned director Armand Mastroianni to write a foreword for the book. He wrote a glowing foreword and we are so appreciative. He has read several of my books and I have also worked with him on PR for two of his latest movies. We have become loyal friends and I appreciate his faith in trusting me to do that. He is an amazing man: patient, kind and a creative genius in directorial skills. He has worked with some of the biggest names in show business. He would be an asset on any movie.See MoreRead Less

Betty Dravis is one of those rare creatures on Earth who was born with such spectacular talents that we mere mortals stand in awe. She is the Sun whom we all revolve around. She is multi-talented and excels in anything she endeavors to do. Her gifts as an author are reflected in her many published books that are international bestsellers. Her devoted fans can always expect a winning mixture of a great story wrapped around her extraordinary imagination. Her mastery of technology goes beyond the norm and one can expect greatness such as she proven in her book, "The Toonies Invade Silicon Valley," or one of her short stories in her "Six Pack of Blood" book series: "Saving The GPS Lady. In her" 1106 Grand Boulevard, " Betty weaves a riveting family story of non fiction with a little embellishment; mesmerizing readers with a fascinating older sister, the heroine, Billie Jean and her travails. Billie Jean is our heroine too since she represents a little of all of us. We cheer her on for her success and root for her survival. Betty Dravis' works are evocative of the true classics and her books should be adapted into movies and TV movies.Joanna Lee DosterSee MoreRead Less"

I met Betty Dravis formally on Facebook; however, before meeting her she contacted my publisher Outskirts Press, via their press release on the publication of my book THE CHANNEL: Stories From L.A., for a review copy of my book. I was pleased to send her a copy and was delighted to meet her on Facebook several months later. She gave me one of the best reviews on THE CHANNEL...and has included me in other interviews and endorsements of her's and other writer's books. She is an amazing professional who helps writers both in interviews on her blogs and reviews of their work. She is a definite 5 Star professional. As Susan says in her review of me, I met her through her intriguing book THE CHANNEL; Stories from L.A. I love L.A. and Hollywood and have many friends in Southern Cal. She's a prolific writer and also a fine artist. When chatting on the Net with Susan, we discovered we had several friends in common. It so happened I had interviewed one of her old high school classmates Tony Tarantino for a DREAM REACHERS II book I co-authored with Chase Von. Yep, the actor and producer Tony Tarantino who happens to be the great Director/Screenwriter Quentin Tarantino's father! I later learned what a small world it really is when I learned that one of the Beach Boys, Al Jardine, is her husband Neil's brother. I have always adored the Beach Boys, but I adore Susan for her own self. She is charming, gracious and one of the most loyal friends I've ever had. But the most endearing thing about this great woman is her love of animals; she works on more humane causes than I can count and puts her money where her mouth is by taking these animals into her own home until she and her husband Neil can find homes for them. Bravo, Susan; keep up the outstanding work in all your endeavors.See MoreRead Less

I know Betty Dravis virtually as an ace reviewer, excellent writer, and a highly accomplished woman that shares her intelligence and experiences to the benefit of those fortunate enough to know her. I met her in the writers group Author Central. She regularly shares her inspiring work, which I find as a service to me as much as reviews she's done of my two novels. Betty stands out because she keeps going like a guiding light to the rest of us new writers, without a word of negativity and always grounded with a sense of humor and love of life.See MoreRead Less"

It amazes me when people like C.C. pick up so much about the real me from my Social Media postings. I admire C.C.'s fantasy novels, but am awe-struck (gob-smacked, as my Aussie friends would say) by her very knowledgeable, well-written blogs. You must check her blogs as they are so very inspiring and tend to make us all a bit jealous of her intellectual capacities. Thanks, C.C., for being in my corner. xoSee MoreRead Less

I met Betty Dravis through the recommendation of a mutual friend two years ago. Betty was competing for a 'Shorty Award' and I thought 'If this woman is a friend of Gladys Quintal, she's a friend of mine!' So I began following her, and buying her books and I was - to put it mildly - amazed at her generosity and energy. Betty is a former journalist who is a Pro Veteran in the trade and steps in with her expertise every day, all day to guide emerging authors through the changing landscape of writing, blogging, and social media.See MoreRead Less"

Thanks, Emily Hill. I think the world of you, also. Glad we met through the noted author Gladys Quintal. What a fine testimonial to Gladys... FYI, Emily is known as THE GHOST CHASER'S DAUGHTER...not only because of her book by that title but because she inherited her interest in ghosts and the paranormal. I'm impressed with all of her books as well as this beautiful lady herself. She and her husband took a road-trip to meet me this summer. I was overwhelmed by how easily we bonded. Thanks for everything, Emily.See MoreRead Less
