Sometimes, the Good Lord sends people our way because HE KNOWS the need of the hour. I met Nikhil at St George's College, Mussoorie. I was a teacher at the college and during my early days at the college, Nikhil simply stood out from the crowd. He was a profound thinker; too mature for his age and obviously so unlike his peers. In my heart I knew, from humble beginnings, this young lad was going to make a success story of his life. Perhaps at that critical stage in his life, Nikhil could not recognize his own capabilities. I found it delightful that Nikhil was a writer; the kind of raw genius that had never been spotted or perhaps recognized in the humdrum of school life. Nikhil makes an embarrassing claim that I did a lot for him. I see myself as simply a teacher who tried his best for his students. Nikhil's writing went from strength to strength, as he moved from one milestone to the next. I could see his style of writing evolve, as he perfected the art of creative expression; moving from the narrative to the analytical, from the fiery coals of youth to the glowing embers that come with time and experience. As the current Managing Editor of e-Fiction, Nikhil amazes me with the skill he demonstrates with words; condensing, crystallising, distilling and extracting ideas that reach out to humanity, strike a chord and make us pause and ponder for a while. I believe e-Fiction is poised to achieve tremendous growth; not just in terms of subscriptions but, most importantly, in the quality of submissions. That moment is not far, when the best of the literary world will recognize e-Fiction as website to visit when one is hungry for inspiration, or seeking connections with literary giants in India and abroad.
Good Luck Nikhil! I hope you savour the taste of success because you DESERVE every bit of it!

nikhil worked with us and i hate to use the past tense when talking about having him with us. as a colleague he is a maverick, rebel with a million causes equally vocal about them all, apart from being a raconteur capable of holding his audience spellbound. he is ambidextrous, adept in film making and writing yarns, and moves between mediums with equal elan. i wish him all the best"

I worked with the PR Team of eFiction India for about 5 months and all-in-all it was a good experience. What struck me initially about Nikhil were 2 things. Firstly, the amount of respect and free space to work and experiment that he gives to people who work under him. I have seen few people who are so open to suggestions and criticism and take them so seriously.
Secondly, I was immensely pleased by the fact that as a Managing Editor he never puts talent/skills before experience. Even if someone does not have a CV boasting tonnes of work experience, he/she can hope to become an integral part of this magazine on the basis of talent.
Lastly, he is definitely someone who lives by the 'Shoot for the Moon, even if you miss you'll land on the stars' principle!

Nikhil has been my peer for last four years. We have worked on multiple projects together and one thing that has always been a driving force in all that he do is - Innovation. His ability to give importance to both mundane and exciting tasks equally helps him in coming up with a perspective that is totally awesome. The only way to realize what Nikhil is capable of, is to give him a task and watch him go.See MoreRead Less"

I reconnected with Nikhil about an year ago when eFiction India was born and he asked me to submit a write-up for the very first issue. Since then I have been loving working for this wonderful magazine. His unfathomable optimism and self motivation make him stand out from the crowd and he is, undoubtedly, doing a commendable job as the managing editor of eFiction India, Way to go Nikhil !"

Nikhil expressed interest in reading my novel titled Another Heaven which addresses two global issues; human trafficking and terrorism. He and his associate interviewed me to learn further about my book and wrote a review.
I appreciate Nikhil's interest in diverse topics, especially the way they affect the global community."

Writing is not a easy game and to write something that strikes a cord is definitely not everyone's game. Nikhil emerges out with clear and crisp writing and editing skills. Every little piece that has his magic touch is always a delight to read.
