When I became pregnant with my second child, I wanted a different birthing experience than my first. The first time around had me questioning the professionals, why they did or didn't do something. The more passionate I became about improving my birth experience the more I learned about Doula's and Midwives, and Monitrice's. Through my research I determined I wanted a Monitrice to be with me through my L&D based on their experience. I would have that person to lean on for advice, to know that I had a voice, and to provide tips and tricks to help my body along the way prepare for labor. A friend of mine in the industry mentioned Kristin Lacy and I immediately looked her up and found that she was going to be at an event I was planning to event called "Meet the Doulas", as soon as I arrived (which was a bit early) I immediately approached Kristin and started chatting with her and explaining my history and why I was looking for a Monitrice, in that initial meeting I could tell that Kristin was very personable, friendly, and had this calmness about her - I knew she was the right person for the job. Throughout my pregnancy she drove all the way to my house a handful of times (an hour drive from her home) to get to know each other, to talk about techniques, to go over my birth plan, etc. We also made a visit to her home which was very close to the hospital I chose to use and offered for me to labor there as needed. The day my contractions started I was having some odd symptoms and she insisted on driving to my house to check on me - even though her home was closer to the hospital. However, since we weren't sure where I was at in Labor she wanted to come and evaluate me. I was completely amazed that she offered to go out of her way to do this. We ultimately had my husband come home and we made the trek to the hospital mid-day. She stayed with us all day in our room until after our baby was born. I unfortunately had some sort of infection happening in my body and the doctor's called for a section. Kristin was with me in recovery while the hubby was showing off the baby to family members. She has a special place in my heart and of course my family, I would highly recommend her to anyone considering her services, you won't regret it.See MoreRead Less

Dr. Gordon is the best. He, along with Dr. Sue and the staff are incredibly knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. I've got chronic back issues and have been going to Gordon Chiropractic for a few years now, actually... I go, my wife goes and our three kids go.. ages 4, 2 and 10 months. We took our first baby to Dr. Gordon for an adjustment straight from the hospital after she was born, didn't even go home first. That birth process is traumatic on a baby and an adjustment can really help them. Getting back to my point, I have been going to see Dr. Gordon for a few years and he always keeps me straight. He works out my lower back and the issues with my hips I have from time to time. He and Dr. Sue also keep my wife in line during her pregnancy's and have even been successful getting rid of some headaches she was having for awhile. You can't go wrong with Dr. G!See MoreRead Less

The idea of working with weights always intrigued me and I finally made the decision in October of 2011 to work with Erik. I'm one his "older" clients and thoroughly enjoy the athlete that is being released from within. Each workout is beneficial and I am overcoming the "I can't do this" attitude I once feared. Plus--he DOES make working out enjoyable. We laugh a lot which is also good medicine for the body!See MoreRead Less
I have only had the pleasure of briefly meeting Michael Robinson in person one time at a martial arts seminar in Florida in 2009 or 2010. His professional martial arts demeanor captured my attention enough to make me want to follow him on his journey. I have since been enthralled with Master Robinson’s dedication, training, teaching methods and skill in his martial arts interpretation. I now consider him one of my mentors on my journey.

Many years ago, as a young woman, I was trying to live with my "issues" by ignoring them and "just moving on". However, it became apparent to me that I couldn't ignore my PTSD symptoms any longer, (though I didn't know what that was at the time), as they were affecting the quality of mine and my husband's lives. A good friend and confidante was seeing Peter Roseman at the time and highly recommended him to me.
As soon as I walked into his office, I knew I was going to experience something different than the usual psychotherapy I had heard about from others. His office was relaxed and comfortable and Peter's demeanor was warm and compassionate from the start (I still remember how he immediately noticed that I was very nervous and asked me if I'd prefer he leave the door open). He reassured me that I was not alone and that I could most definitely feel better and live my life in a positive way.
As Peter guided me through exercises that I could do to change the way I thought and acted, he taught me how to stop blaming and shaming myself for things over which I had no control. In fact, he taught me how to control those things I could and how to let go of those things I can't (and to identify which is which!). During our sessions, he not only taught me about how my issues were affecting me, he listened - actually listened! - to me. I can tell you that in the years that I worked with Peter, (both in individual sessions and in group sessions), he never once appeared distracted or bored. He truly cares about his clients and works WITH them!
Later in my life, when I had children, I experienced Postpartum Depression. My insurance only paid for a small list of therapists and I tried one who was supposed to specialize in PPD. They were of little or no help to me and I decided to see if Peter was willing to work with PPD symptoms. He told me he had recently learned of some techniques that could help, though he hadn't used them specifically with PPD and if it didn't work, he would find some way or someone to help me. I was willing to try and went to see him. What a relief when it worked! Again, Peter was compassionate, kind and concerned about helping me get better.
I highly recommend Peter as a Psychotherapist who is willing to work with you in both conventional and alternative ways to help you feel better about your life and the you're living it!See MoreRead Less
