Review by Eric Semsak

As a practicing physician, the bottom line is what has the greatest benefit for the person/patient. I believe that a large part of that success is based on collaboration with colleagues in their area of specialty, and TRUST in their knowledge! I?ve referred multiple of my patients/clients to Maria knowing they will receive the necessary care in addressing life?s challenges. All of my patients that I have referred to Maria have had nothing but accolades, which speaks volume, and I highly recommend her (as I do often).

I know Kelly Jo as a fellow student at Whitworth University. I also know of her reputation at Spokane Community College, because I was an instructor there and have contacts in the department in which she worked. She is a hard worker, always conscientious, a team player, and committed to excellence. I was always happy to work with her as a colleague in our educational program and I only heard good things about her from my friends who worked with her at SCC.See MoreRead Less

Review by Ambryn Melius

I first met Laura through the Samarya Center's two week yoga teacher training and immediately appreciated her down-to-earth quality, offering me a very real and human connection. During that training, she taught yoga asana, yoga philosophy and Thai yoga techniques in ways that encouraged an open mind, lack of rigid boundaries, and lots of connection back to day-to-day life. This meant a lot to my overwhelmed mind and body, allowing me to settle into my own process.

From here, I've appreciated Laura's group classes, workshops, and one-on-one sessions, all providing safe and accessible places where I can be in my body in the ways that make sense to me, while knowing Laura will guide and support me along the way. In particular, as I've begun one-on-one sessions with Laura, I've begun to develop a deeper and more subtle sense of body awareness, learning how to find greater stability in the core of my body, and experiencing this stability integrating into other parts of my body and life. In our sessions, I can sense Laura's side-by-side partnership with me, as she skillfully and intuitively responds to my needs, questions and often unspoken cues.

Amidst all of her gifts, something I most appreciate about Laura is the honesty and transparency with which she is engaged in her own yoga and mindfulness practices, offering this solidarity with me and further bolstering my own trust and compassion for my journey. This is a rare and rich gift.
