What a treat it was to have the incredibly talented Jack Alves play at our company picnic!
Since our radio station is staffed with veterans of the Phoenix radio Airwaves, we were all very familiar with the gifted guitarist, having heard his music on the airwaves of Phoenix’s legendary KDKB, during the height of the singer/songwriter era of the ‘70’s. Many of us also remember Jack opening for some of the biggest acts of the era, in concert at the Celebrity Theater.
Imagine our delight having Jack Alves present an incredible acoustic show for our staffers and supporters! Jack’s mesmerizing style of finger-picking guitar playing, had party-goers sitting down in rapt attention, turning the picnic into more of a fun, mini-concert. Jack’s singing, playing, and between song banter, set the perfect tone for a lovely day and a very successful Radio Free Phoenix company picnic!
From corporate party to garden party, I believe securing Jack Alves as an entertainer would guarantee success, and a good time had by all!

I have known Mr. Cioffi for 15 years. Billy and his band The Monte Carlos, backed up an array of well known recording artists at the Annual KRTH shows at The Greek Theater and Universal Ampetheater in Los Angeles. I met Billy after one such show and our family followed The Monte Carlos for many years, until his move to Scottsdale, Arizona. Whether Billy was playing the Greek or Ampetheater, fairs, music festivals, or the small intimate club, he was always kind to my family and me with backstage passes, or an extended chat before or after a gig. This made him personable, compared to other artists you could not approach.
We've enjoyed Mr. Cioffi's guitar work, whether on electric, accoustic, (and Dobro), as well as the numerous songs he has written. The Monte Carlos albums are treasured works in our musical library.
I wish Billy the best of luck in his endevours!

I have always had a secret passion to become a writer. And when I finally took up the challenge, the next hurtle was to share my work with a professional. I steeled myself for a face full of derision and disappointment but I had to know. Was it any good?
I was directed by an acquaintance to David St. Albans two years ago. From the first email response, I knew that David was someone who understood the skittish nature of a beginner. He has guided me in a supportive, compassionate and professional manner. Prompt, honest, patient, informative, encouraging, respectful of my work; I suppose my list might be enough to fill a book in itself.
It is an honor to be able to recommend David St. Albans as a writing mentor and editor. It is even a greater honor for me to say that he is now my friend.See MoreRead Less
I worked with Jan on a daily basis when I was a radio producer in the Washington bureau of the BBC. She was the State Department Correspondent and we had adjacent offices. We talked about the day's news and coordinated coverage of her beat and how that would fit into the larger demands from our London editors. We sought each other's advice on facts, perspective and production techniques. Jan had a very collegial approach, always willing to lend a hand to help a co-worker. She was friendly, funny and loved what she did. She approached her job with gusto and energy.See MoreRead Less
