I would change Congress so they had to work with a balanced budget amendment. They would have term limits, do your one term in Washington, and then your done!;GO HOME like the Forefathers intended! I would force anyone that was once involved in Congress in any manor to be barred from contacting other seated member (or thier staff) thus eliminating any form of lobbist dollars. I would require them to put a vote to the people for any pay raises or benefits or perks. I mean as it sits you do a two year term as a member of the House, and you recieve a full governement pension for life. You get a health care plan that we all would die for. You even continue your White House Perc's with the in house barber. There is my answer: The one thing I would change, did I cheat a little? Depends....a Congressman would say NO, and here is what bothers me, THEY ARE OUR LAWMAKERS, ARE THEY MAKING LAWS FOR OUR BENEFIT, OR THE BENEFIT OF SOME FORIEGN GOVERNEMNT THAT JUST CONTRIBUTED SEVERAL HUNDED THOUSAND DOLLARS INTO THEIR POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE a.k.a Re-Election Fund steveharkness.com
