I agree with Nathan LaBenz that stress is one thing that does affect all areas of our health, and to eliminate that would be the perfect answer, but easier said than done. Many studies have shown the effects of stress on our bodies and mind. I am also an example of the effects of stress on my physical and mental health. The thing to remember is life will always throw things at us that produces stress, but it is how we let it affect us is what makes the difference. Again, this is easier said than done, but with being aware of it, and dealing with it in a way that we, ourselves, can handle, is the best way to go about it. Make a list of people you know and trust that you can call to talk to and help you get through the moment of stress. A good support system is crucial. Try to divert your mind set to something soothing and relaxing for you. Practice deep breathing-inhale through your nose, exhale through your lips. All these help to alleviate stress, and thus, the end result is less havoc to your body and mind. It does help. I've tried to follow this advice for a long time. Hope it helps you, too. Love and hugs-Kathy :)
