How old were you when you bought your first home or piece of property?

If you haven't yet, when would you like to? What are your reasons not to?

We purchased our first home when I was 24 and my hustand was 25.  We had about 1/3 of the cost of the home to put down.  However, the house cost $28,000 over 40 years ago. You also could only get a mortgage based on one persons wages.  Things have sure changed.
