We have had customers put ads out in the local newspaper or even Craigslist to sell their cars. Be sure you know your car well in and out because you would be putting yourself in position to retail the car to another customer and you would be responsible for the transaction. Have the car professionally detailed. Also, do not be afraid to walk away if the dealer is not willing to negociate the trade in price. You would be suprised how much they will counter offer if you are getting ready to walk out the door.
