It depends on the size of your business.  If it is very small and you don't give out invoices or sales receipts, then stick with excel.  Just make a chart of all of your expenses.  I would use excel for my household expenses.  Or some other spreadsheet software.  If you aren't familiar with accounting software Quickbooks is more user friendly.  But there are a few versions of that as well.  If you won't be printing cheques, and just need something very basic then use the Quickbooks basic.  Good luck.

Quickbooks for business expenses, which does invoicing as well. QBs is great for business use because all the necessary information is typically available in QBs for the accountant. While there are other softwares that can accomplish this, QBs is very easy to use and universally known.

Absolutley QuickBooks software. It is very user friendly and simple to use. You can set up multiple accounts with the same software package for both personal and business expenses.

Quickbooks for business, friendly but you should have a professional (Accountant) set up your chart of accounts, vendor files and customer files. Some instruction on how to read reports that are applicable to your business would be very useful.

Quicken is best for personal use, fantastic predesigned reports useful for home budgeting through managing your investment accounts.
