As for your gambling comment, well as you describe it then health insurance and auto insurance are gambling too then.
This is the first company of an insurance type that actually wants you to use their services and unlike other types of insurance your rate doesn't go up for using the service. And I must say from what I've learned, these firms are very well paid. In fact since their pay is in direct proportion to the dues members pay in their state they bend over backwards to help you.
I guess the best way to answer this is I became a LegalShield Associate after using the service in a contract dispute from an out-of-state vendor.
Every local attorney I visited told me the same thing. While my case was strong the money was too small for them to deal with (it was several thousands of dollars mind you) and that I would have to find an attorney in the state in which the vendor was located. They told me after it was said and done I'd have very little if anything to show for my efforts.
With LegalShield I have a lawyer in 49 states to call upon and so in a matter of a very short time I had all my money refunded. My cost, $17 per month which meant less than $100 out of my pocket.
Oh and by the way, my LegalShield attorney was involved with the writing of that state's LLC laws so we're not talking about some low quality firm as Mr. Dummit might suggest. ...Just saying.
