Ask a Question

What type of "disasters" are not included when you purchase insurance?

For instance, most policies do not include flooding. Are earthquakes excluded in this too? Is there any other type of event that would be excluded as well?

This is actually a question for an Insurance Agent, not a Realtor.  Even so, many 'disaster' may be covered on a home insurance policy through additional riders.  Like Earthquake damage, swimming pools, etc.

Your Insurance Agent would be the best person to answer such a question.
