There isn't enough room to write everything I want to share about Dr. Staebler. She saved my dog's life, and she did it all by phone...at 8:00 p.m. (yes, at night)...that ran well into the middle of the night. And she isn't even my dogs' vet. In fact, she didn't really know me. (Let me clarify, she WOULD be our vet but we live too far away from her). Her husband was my boss at the time, so of course we knew OF each other through him, but we had never met. Then one morning, one of my dachshunds snatched up a quick-dissolving excedrin migraine pill.

I rushed him to the vet where they forced him to vomit, but because the pill was fast-acting, it was already absorbed into his system. So they forced charcoal down him to absorb the poison. I couldn't believe they didn't want to keep him for the day to keep an eye on him but they sent us home, where he threw up all of the charcoal right after we got in the house. I called that vet and they said he should be fine, even though he hadn't even kept the charcoal down the minimum amount of time the vet said he should. Since they felt certain he would be fine, I went ahead and went in to work where I told my boss about the events of the morning.

Later that evening, around 8, my dog started throwing up pure blood. I panicked and called my boss to see if he thought Dr. Staebler would mind me calling her. He called her and she called me immediately. She armed me with critical information, including that there is actually an antidote for acetaminophen overdose but it has to be administered within a certain amount of time, and then told me to call her back once I got to the emergency clinic. I did, and she stayed with me on the phone the whole time. She was even going to stay on the phone while I waited for them to call me back to consult with the doctor, but I told her that wasn’t necessary.

So when it was time, I got her back on the phone and went into the exam room. The vet on call had an extremely thick accent so I could barely understand him anyway, and then add to that that protocol for emergency vets is to run every possible test…as he’s talking and telling me all of the tests he wants to run on Norman, she’s hearing him and telling me – you need that test. You don’t need that test. You need that one. And that one. Not that one…you get the idea. The vet at the clinic wasn’t at all pleased, but I was grateful. And after the ordeal was over (Norman is alive and well), she would even call me to check on him.

She has a passionate compassion for taking care of critters that extends well beyond office hours or taking care of animals because it’s her j-o-b. I can assure you without hesitation that you will never regret entrusting her with the life of your pet(s).

We heard about Dr. Annie Staebler through friends who had switched to her services and were RAVING about her work. Fast forward past a few more hassled vet visits with cats and a dog who had high anxiety when going to the clinic, and it became clear it was time to switch to A2 Mobile Vet...

THE BEST DECISION WE HAVE EVER MADE FOR OUR PETS - AND OURSELVES!

Annie's services are literally unbeatable! She is incredibly professional and yet personable and grounded- a rarity amongst so many clinic vets. She is the most knowledgeable vet I have ever had, clinic or not, throughout the 4 states I have lived with pets. Annie has a way of understanding your pets needs and personality that I think can only come from seeing them at their home- where they are most comfortable. She and her assistant have been able to evaluate, diagnose, and treat subtle conditions in our dog that clinic vets had clearly overlooked for the past several years - and all of our animals are happier and healthier because of it. Recently we we were traveling with our animals, out of state, and one of them got sick on the road. I texted Dr. Staebler, and within 5 minutes she had gotten back to me, with suggestions and care for our situation. That is nearly unheard of in human medical practice, let alone veterinary service! Yet, that is who Dr. Annie Staebler is - she cares, and it shows.

The undeniable advantage to a vet seeing your pets in their home gives them the opportunity to give more thorough examinations, more accurate diagnoses, and thus better, more targeted and individualized care. I can not recommend Dr. Annie Staebler highly enough- you will not regret making the switch, and, like us, you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

I could not write a higher recommendation for Dr. Staebler. She is so amazing and compassionate with animals and even has a special way to deal with the most challenging pets.

Our small dog is afraid of everything and everyone. Going to the vet was always such a challenge. He would shake non-stop and have an accident every time. It was miserable for all of us. Additionally, our last vet barely remembered our dog and didn't really address any of our health or behavioral concerns.

Dr. Staebler was recommended to us by a friend and we will be forever grateful to him. The experience of her coming to our house was unique in the best way. She and her tech are very professional and bring all the equipment they need. Our very timid dog warmed up to them almost immediately. They knew exactly how to ease our little guy and make him comfortable.

Most importantly, Dr. Staebler is a wonderful and knowledgeable vet. She answers all of our questions, no matter how small or silly we may think they are. She gives great advice and always knows what's going on with our dog. We adopted our dog and had some serious concerns with some of his previous medical records that were never address by our previous vet. After the FIRST meeting with Dr. Staebler, we had a plan in place of how we will determine if there is an issue and how we will deal with it. We had been anxious about his health for so long, it was such a relief to feel like we had a doctor on our side to walk us through everything.

Luckily our little guy is just fine. Thanks to Dr. Staebler and Ann Arbor Mobile Vet!

"Dr. Annie" has improved the quality of the lives of my dog and cats in many ways. Whether one has 1 pet or more, Dr. Staebler makes house calls. There is nothing more traumatic for a pet than to go to a vet's office, have to sit in the waiting room, for what seems like an eternity. That happens regularly, even if you have an appt. Then, your poor pet has to sit in examining room until the vet comes in. They are in a strange environment, hearing other pets, smelling other scents; they are scared and stressed. Coming to my home, my dog and cats are relaxed for their vet visits. You make an appt. and Dr. Annie is there. No waiting. No sterile environment. No fear. Whether the reason for the visit is annual exam or end of life (hospice visit) or euthanasia, she is there. She is warm, compassionate and one of the finest veterinarians I have ever met. I first met Dr. Staebler when she was my vet at Ann Arbor Animal Hospital. I noticed she had left the practice. I learned about Ann Arbor Mobile Vet, when I saw Annie at a Humane Society of Huron Valley fundraiser.I had 3 senior cats and a recently adopted rescue puppy. I have referred her to my friends, as well. One more thing, if one has a concern about one's pet, a call is made to a clinic or veterinary hospital; the message is relayed and wait for a call back. I I can contact Dr. Staebler directly via phone, email or text. To me, this is invaluable.See MoreRead Less"

When Ella was diagnosed with a terminal cancer, Dr. Annie was referred to me as an option for reducing the stress of vet visits. When she arrived for her first visit, she got right down on the floor to introduce herself to Ella. Not only did Ella thus love her from the start, she was such an easy person to talk to about our options that I really liked her as well. Dr. Annie is very knowledgeable but also does her best to make sure any care or treatment options make sense for both the pet and the pet owner. She understands that owners have different capabilities when it comes to caring for their pets and she always seeks to tailor her recommendations with that in mind. Ella also has some problems with allergies and Dr. Annie works hard to treat Ella holistically, routinely looking back over her records to find connections or trends that might further indicate how to manage Ella's care. Some people might think they would only need a mobile vet for specialty situations, such as older pets, but ANY pet would be lucky to have Dr. Annie caring for him/her. With Dr. Annie, you can always be confident that your pets are getting the best care and attention possible.See MoreRead Less"

I learned about Dr. Annie's Mobile Vet Service through a friend's post on Facebook. My cat is terrified of car rides and taking him to the vet used to be an ordeal. A vet making house calls was sort of a dream come true as being both convenient and stress free. On top of that, Dr. Annie and her assistant are incredibly competent and knowledgeable. I appreciate Dr. Annie's friendly, calm, and patient demeanor. I also am grateful that Dr. Annie is not quick to order a test or a treatment that might be unnecessary and expensive. She is a thoughtful care provider and really has the owner and the animal's best interests at heart. With an adopted yellow lab recently added to our mix, we have seen more of Dr. Annie than ever and I can honestly say I am even more impressed with the level of care, responsiveness, and information we have received. Dr. Annie and the Ann Arbor Mobile Vet have my highest recommendation.See MoreRead Less"

I met Dr. Annie few years ago when she worked at a local vet where I had to take in a clients sick dog and liked her very much. When she started her mobile vet service she sent me a letter of introduction and I could not wait to have the opportunity to use her services for my 5 cats and my senior dog, Kelsey who was 16-17yrs old. She and her assistant handled my cats, who are basically barn cats very well, giving them all necessary vaccines and helped me determine the best pain/arthritis/dementia medications for Kelsey. When it was time to say good bye to our Kelsey girl Dr. Annie came here help her cross the rainbow bridge. I feel like Dr. Annie has a common sense approach to pet care and I am always happy to refer my clients and friends to her. This is the perfect service for those with multiple pets, senior pets, nervous pets or even those that are not able to travel to a vet.See MoreRead Less"

I met Dr Annie in January when my beautiful angel Matisse was ready to make his transition. I knew he was ready but I could not bring myself to take him. Someone suggested calling a mobile vet. I found Dr Annie's listing & she & her wonderful assistant Cristy came over the next day. They were so kind & respectful while extremely efficient at the same time. They took all the time that was needed....I did not feel rushed in any way. They assisted me with all the details and paper work.. Their genuine love of animals was very obvious. I have never experienced such personal compassion combined with spot on professional skill. I would recommend Dr. Annie to anyone who loves their animals & wants then to be treated with kindness, respect, and quality care. I am so VERY GRATEFUL to have found her. See MoreRead Less"

My three pugs and I could not survive without the care of Dr Staebler. It is obvious when dealing with a vet that comes to your home that it will be convenient. What is not obvious is the benefit of dealing with someone who is so caring and knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to take care of her patients. Two of my dogs are getting up there in years and require a lot if personal attention and Dr Staebler has been with me every step of the way providing whatever they need. A most recent example involves my needing some extra help with one dog's digestive issues. Dr staebler does not just recommends a specialist but she works right along with the specialist making sure my dogs get consistent care from someone who knows them very well. I can not recommend her strongly enough!See MoreRead Less"

Dr. Annie has taken care of my little Maija since the day she was adopted and I couldn't be happier! She cares for my dog as though she were her own pet, and is available for questions around the clock!

Dr. Annie's housecalls are incredibly convenient, and allows her to see Maija in her own space, without the hassle of crates and traveling to cold, clinical environments. It's hard to imagine ever going back!

With Dr. Annie I feel like I have far more than a traditional vet; a friend, an adviser, and a true professional. I can't imagine a better combination to best think about and care for my puppy's health and training needs.

Dr. Annie's wide range of knowledge has helped allay my concerns from the serious to the mundane, and she makes me feel as though I can ask anything...and I do!

Can't praise Dr. Annie enough. Discovering her has made our dogs' lives and our lives so much better. She is a great vet, and truly cares about the animals and their humans. To have someone come here, saves stress and time for everyone. When our 13 year old lab started failing, she was so helpful and caring, and when it was time to let him go, she made a horrible situation as peaceful and compassionate as possible for us, and for Romeo. I will NEVER again make a dog go to the vet's office for its final moments. Being euthanized at home is the kind thing to do for your pet. Dr. Annie is the best, in all ways. She goes above and beyond, and truly cares. I'd give her 10 stars if it let me! See MoreRead Less"

I first used Anne when she was practicing at Ann Arbor Animal Hospital. I switched to her as soon as I heard she had opened up Ann Arbor Mobile Vet. Not only is Annie a top notch vet, she is a genuinely compassionate, kind individual. Having a vet come to your home, whether for a standard visit , illness or end of life, your dog or cat does not have the stress or trauma of being transported to a cold, sterile facility and then a long wait. Especially important with Annie, is her accessibility. I can reach her by phone, email or text directly and with a short wait. My dog loves her. My cats (they are cats, after all) are much more relaxed and calm being treated at home.See MoreRead Less"

I heard about Dr. Staebler from a friend, and when I adopted a rescue dog, I called her to check him over. I was thrilled with her services: her exam was thorough and she spent quite a bit of time educating me on issues that might arise. While she was there, I discovered my other dog's vaccinations were out of date, and she took care of that dog at the same visit. Since our original meeting, I've had reason to call on Dr. Annie a number of times and she's always responded promptly. I can't imagine there's a better veterinarian (except my son, but he's in Colorado). I wholeheartedly recommend her to you: you and your pets will love her.See MoreRead Less"

Dr. Anne and team is a convenient and competent care option for any pet. She has been wonderful with our young cat and will likely see our puppy when he arrives soon. Specifically, A2 Vets seem to really care about an animal's long-term health and how to look ahead as well as manage immediate concerns. I highly recommend A2 Mobile Vets! Also, it's nice to see that Dr. Anne recognized a need and was able to adapt entirely to fulfill it by shedding the brick and mortar office -- a traditional construct we often need but can often leave behind in order to get more personal and less stressful care. Bravo Dr. Anne and team!See MoreRead Less"

Dr. Anne is wonderful. We first met her a few years ago when my retriever mix, Izzie, had developed a hot spot that got infected. I had a young baby and toddler at the time and it was a huge hassle to take the girls and my dog to the vet. Having Anne come to our home and provide excellent care in a space that was better for me and Izzie was ideal. We have continued seeing Anne since then for check-ups and allergy related issues, and have always had a positive experience. Her rates are better than the brick and mortar places, she is professional, timely, patient, and very smart. I hope she never moves out of A2.See MoreRead Less"

Dr. Anne is both a clinical expert and a compassionate caregiver. She has cared for all our dogs with a personal touch that makes her practice special. I trust her plan of care and she hires excellent assistants such as Kristy, her tech. Having her come to our home makes all the difference as it reduces the stress involved for all of us. Gone are the days of watching my dogs pace or hide under a chair in an exam room waiting for the Vet. My dogs want her to pick them up and love on them after the visit. That just doesn't happen in an office setting. Thank you Dr. Anne for the great care!See MoreRead Less"

Dr. Annie Staebler DVM has been my dog and cats' vet for 5 years. She was involved in saving our puppy from parvo virus when she was at a Veterinary Clinic/Hospital, and I continued with her services when she started her own mobile veterinary business. Dr. Annie is personable, kind, wonderful with animals, and she is an excellent clinician. I love having her and her assistant come to our home - it is so much less stressful for the animals and convenient for me, too! Her fees are fair and reasonable relative to clinics. I highly recommend Dr. Annie Staebler!See MoreRead Less"

After reading all the other glowing reviews of Dr. Annie and her tech Christie, I felt I'd found kindred spirits. When we heard about Ann Arbor Mobile Vet, we switched immediately because we were tired of being greeted at our usual vet practice, and sent to an exam room to wait for as long as 45 minutes. Our dog would pace and pant and get very anxious. Home visits are so much easier and Dr. Annie is a kind, compassionate doctor with great practical knowledge. See MoreRead Less"

We have had a great experience with Dr. Stebler in the care of our dog Wilson. Wilson gets very nervous when we take him to a traditional vets office. Dr. Staebler comes to your home, and Wilson thinks she is just a friend stopping by, no stress and happy as can be. Dr. Staebler is as friendly as can be, professional and we can tell she has a real love for animals. I would unconditionally recommend Dr. Staebler for services.See MoreRead Less"
